Some people like classical music while others prefer
pop music, which do you prefer?
Music to life is nothing different from salt to
foods. Salt has seasoned our dishes. Similarly,
music has enriched our civilization. We have diverse
array of musicians and musicologists such as Mozart,
Chopin, Brahms, and Vivaldi. Traditionally, music
has been divided into classic and pop ones. Some
people enjoy classical, whereas others are fascinated
by pop music. I like the classical music for the
following reasons.
First of all, classical
music far outweighs its pop counterpart in that
it molds ones character, temperament, and disposition.
Secondly, classical
music is much more elegant and graceful than pop
music.
Last but not least,
classical music has eclipsed pop music in that it
has frequently transcends the time and space limitation.
Mozart is still remembered for his music today although
he was nothing but a mortal one.
Land has been playing an indispensable part in the
process of our human civilization. It is for the
reason of land we have had so many wars, it is for
the reason of land we have experienced such a variety
of conflicts (people have conflicted reciprocally),
and it is for the reason of land we have had our
extremes of fortunes (changeful destines). Without
land, there would not be any civilization. It is
important to human and animal as well. A piece of
land may be utilized for agriculture; it can also
be used for housing and industrial purpose; still
it can be used for protection of animals and plants
for the flora and fauna helps balance the ecological
system If there were a piece of land under my disposition,
I would like to use it for industrial and housing
instead of keeping it for animals. In this essay
I would like to provide evidence and details to
substantiate the argument from political, economic,
and cultural perspectives. (161)
Staggering tasks confronted the board of the school.
The gymnasium is waiting for expansion, the cafeteria
needs to be reconstructed, and the library calls
for many more spacious reading rooms and a colossal
sum of funding to purchase facilities. Even the
dormitory problems loomed large. But how shall we
spend a certain sum of money effectively and efficiently?
It is an issue of critical and yet contentious one.
Some people suggest buy computers, while others
advocate investing in classroom facilities. But
for me, I find it reasonable and feasible to establish
a factory under the control of students. (98)
First of all, the profit
of the operation of the factory can meet the demand
of poor students whose parent cannot afford the
prohibiting tuition.
Secondly, the operation and management of the factory
help students prepare for their future career.
Last but not least, the running of the factory provides
the school enough fund for increasing the enrollment
and improving the faculty living standard.
It is to kill many birds with one stone to run a
factory.
